HELLO

My name is Searcy Berger.

I am my wife and a mother of three boys. My boys are now grown, and my husband and I have recently become empty-nesters. I have been in the retail, sales and service industry for 20+ years. I was looking for something to do that was girly and all my own. Two Steps consignment boutique is about as girly as it gets and so am I.

Two Steps was born because I love to shop and I love a good price on expensive things, shiny things, pretty things, and unique things. I also don’t know very many women that don’t love to shop. I absolutely love it and that got me thinking, if I love these all the things, I’m sure there are other women out there that love all the things too.

I can remember going into huge department stores and dreaming of buying anything my heart desires but then I would look at the price tag, I thought, I can’t afford this handbag. Shortly after, I visited a consignment store…well, that was it. I was hooked. I fell in love with shopping even more. Not only could I buy things at a lower price, but I could consign my things and make a little money too. It was genius.

It was perfect for me, the shopaholic. I could look just as fashionable without spending my entire paycheck. Not only that, it was so much fun! The seed was planted. I thought to myself, I’m gonna have a consignment boutique, one day.

I have shopped Consignment nearly all my life. I love finding hidden treasures, things from vintage to what’s on trend and everything in between. I’m always looking for a bargain but I want classy, higher-end clothes and accessories but I don’t want to pray the retail price. That’s why I started two steps, I started it with the girl next door in mind, my sister in mind and my best friend in my mind. We all love finding a bargain and we all love to shop, and we love shopping together!
